Application
It can be used as pharmaceutical intermediate and electroplating industry.
Bioactivity: 2-Thiouracil is a sulfhydrylated uracil derivative and is an anti-hyperthyroid agent.
In vitro studies: 2-Thiouracil is an established antithyroid agent and a widely used research reagent for early detection, targeting metastatic melanoma as a Chemicalbook site. In addition, 2-Thiouracil is also a selective inhibitor of neuronal nitric oxide synthase, antagonizing tetrahydrobiopterin-dependent enzyme activation and dimerization.
Fire fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: dry powder, foam, fog water, carbon dioxide
Special hazards: Be careful, burning or high temperature may decompose to produce toxic smoke.
Specific method: Extinguish the fire from upwind, choose the appropriate fire extinguishing method according to the surrounding environment.
Non-relevant personnel should evacuate to a safe place.
Once the surrounding area is on fire: If safe, remove removable containers.
Special protective gear for firefighters: Always wear personal protective equipment when extinguishing a fire.
Emergency response to a spill
Personal protective measures, protective equipment, use special PPE (P3 filtered air respirator for toxic particles). Keep away from spills/leaks.
Emergency measures: place and be upwind.
The spill area should be enclosed with safety belts, etc., to control access by non-relevant persons.
Environmental measures: Be careful and do not discharge into rivers, etc. Because of the negative impact on the environment is considered.
Methods and materials for control and cleaning: Sweep and collect dust and seal into airtight containers. Take care not to disperse. Attachments or collections should be disposed of immediately in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations.
