Application
1.Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the synthesis of antiviral and anti-HIV drugs.
2.As an intermediate of Zivdodine
Uses:
Thymidine is a deoxyribonucleoside containing a thymine base. Thymidine is a nucleoside formed by linking thymidine to D-ribose through a β-glycosidic bond. Thymidine is used in the preparation of anti-AIDS drugs (e.g. zidofuridine, stavudine) and in the synthesis of antiviral drugs. It can also be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate and exported directly.
Bioactivity:
Thymidine(Deoxythymidine,2′-Deoxythymidine,5-Methyldeoxyuridine,DThChemicalbookyd,NSC21548) is a pyrimidine nucleoside consisting of thymine, a pyrimidine base attached to the sugar deoxyribose. As a component of DNA, thymine nucleosides pair with adenine in the DNA double helix.
