Application
Mainly used in the production of plastics, rubber, resin, medicine, etc. and the preparation of amide.Glutaric anhydride can be oxidized with hydrogen peroxide to obtain glutaric acid peroxide. Mix 420mL of distilled water and 221.7g of 30% hydrogen peroxide, then add 342g of glutaric anhydride, stir vigorously, maintain the reaction at 15℃, add 7.6g of hydrogen peroxide and continue to keep warm for 1 hour, leave for 24h, filter out the crystals, wash with water and dry by infrared lamp, get white powder peroxydipic acid, melting point 89-90℃ (decomposition starts at 90℃). Used as a curing agent for epoxy resin. It is also polymerization initiator for polymerization production of some synthetic resins and synthetic rubber.

Properties and Stability
Avoid contact with oxides, water. Needle-like crystals. Soluble in ether, ethanol and tetrahydrofuran. Absorbs water to produce glutaric acid. Very low toxicity.
Storage method
1. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire, heat source and water source. The package should be sealed and stored separately from oxidizing agent, avoid mixing. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of spark-prone machinery and tools. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable shelter materials.
2. This product can be packed in polyethylene plastic bags lined with polypropylene woven bags. Each bag is 25kg, and it should be stored and transported according to the general chemical regulations.
